Webb11 sep. 2012 · Hi Phil. I'm running a TS-520 and occassionally have similar trouble. Mine is bad on 75 meters but really bad on 40 meters. The trouble in in the band switch. It's evident when tuning up the rig in the "tune" position of the mode switch. When tuning up, if I wiggle the band switch a little the meter needle will swing up to the right.
